One Day AFTER Hurricane IRMA.

   A day after hurricane IRMA

While not back out on the water yet, Floridians still embrace our recovering coasts with adoration. Relatives and friends in other states urge us to relocate, yet we give proclamations of homestead to Florida.

Our two days on lock down in a bat cave (that is what I call my  home when all the hurricane shutters close out the light) is a mere inconvenience and does not compare to the last 363 days of beautiful sunshine and pristine waters.

No where is perfect. Some places have a brutal winter or torrential tornadoes, and I spent 50 years in California with earthquakes and wild fires.

You can not escape Mother Nature.

You can only find the home in the location that best suits you and your family, and make each moment be the best.

While our beaches are still closed in my local area, I anxiously await my beautiful walk down my favorite beach to find another perfect shell...and stand fast to the quote on my couch pillow of "Life is better at the beach!" I love my Florida home!
